Like many other Eastern European countries, the turbulent 20th century left the reputation of the Hungarian wine in tatters. However, increased investment in the past two decades has seen quality rise in leaps and bounds. Hungary's signature Tokaji still leads the way, and are some of the world's most sought after wines.
