Story: Johnnie Walker has long been one of the most recognisable Scotch whisky brands in the world. It was Johnnie’s grand son, Alexander Walker II, who was responsible for establishing the brand’s popularity – he was involved in introducing many new blends, the ‘colour range’ and the iconic square bottle. The Johnnie Walker Gold Label was conceived as a bottling to commemorate 100 years of Johnnie Walker, however setbacks stemming from the First World War meant it was 30 years before this bottling saw the light of day. The blend is made up of 15 rare single malts creating a sweet and smoky malt, ideal with desserts and after dinner.
