Story: Maison Ruinart was the first established Champagne House, founded by Nicolas Ruinart in 1729. Nicolas was a Reims draper, and initially founded the Maison to produce Champagne that would be given as gifts to his clients for cloth and fabric. However, the demand for his top quality Champagne was such that Nicolas abandoned the drapery trade in 1735 to focus solely on Maison Ruinart. The traditions of excellence continue today and the wines show quality right through their entire range. Their flagship Blanc de Blancs Champagnes are especially praised by critics and connoisseurs alike.
