Story: This fifth generation winery owned and run by the Wente family prides themselves on sustainable farming and to the philosophy that the quality of a wine originates in the vineyard. In 2010, this, the oldest continuously owned and operated family winery in the USA, was awarded certification for its sustainability with respect to vineyard, winery and company practices.

Grape: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petite Sirah, 6% Merlot, 4% Barbera, 3% Petite Verdot

Area: Livermore Valley, San Francisco Bay

Alcohol: 13.5%

Maturation: Aged in a combination of American, French , Eastern European and neutral oak for 14 months.

Tasting Note: Mouthfilling flavours of black cherry, cassis and plum. Ripe, yet deliciously approachable.
