ASSISTANT MANAGER
We're currently seeking an Assistant Manager to provide support to the Shop Manager, including overseeing all wine shop staff to reach daily sales targets, and managing customer satisfaction and issues as they arise.
Key Duties of the Role: • Accountable for the day to day operations and related aspects of the retail wine shop
• Effectively supervise retail wine employees to achieve sales targets
• Maintain a proficiency in all areas of Sipp London's products including our wines, spirits, and cigars.
• Following monthly budgets for re-ordering stock and other shop supplies
• Working with suppliers as needed
• Perform wine tastings according to established policies and procedures
• Monitor and resolve all retail store exceptions related to: wine shipments, deliveries, and customers' needs
• Work with the Sipp London team to achieve goals and results
Key Skills & Requirements: • Strong sales and customer service background
• Supervisory and or management experience
• Excellent wine (and spirit) knowledge (WSET qualification mandatory)
• Outgoing personality; fast on your feet
• Ability to multi-task, quick learner, willing to 'jump in' as needed.
• Ability to follow monthly budgets, work with spreadsheets accurately and expediently
• Ability to understand the wine distinctions to help customers choose their selection
• Attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions clearly and efficiently
• Excellent verbal communication skills both in person and on the telephone
• Strong written communication skills for reports, emails, and newsletters
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, computer skills
• Keen interest to be part of a dynamic and growing business
• A full UK driver's licence with a clen driving record is also an asset
Job Expectations: • Complete all aspects of opening and closing procedures to ensure theshop is clean and presentable at all times and the backroom is presentable and organized.
• Maintain a positive team environment and company culture
• Make sure all store policies, procedures, and controls are followed
• Planning, organizing and delegating work amongst staff
• Work with staff to ensure products are displayed appropriately in the shop and everything looks fresh and clean
• Develop a full understanding of all of Sipp London's products
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner on and off the premises
• Identify and implement cost saving measures
• Manage register close outs to 0% issues

RETAIL SALESPERSON
We’re currently seeking a hardworking and charismatic Retail Salesperson to join our team. Key duties of this role include dealing with customers by providing guidance and assistance with their purchases in-store, via email, and over the telephone.
Key Skills & Requirements: • Excellent wine (and spirit) knowledge (WSET qualification ideal). • Previous retail and/or marketing experience preferred. • Attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions clearly, and efficiently. • Excellent verbal communication skills both in person and on the telephone. • Strong written communication skills. • Team player, with the ability to work well with others and identify tasks that need to be completed. • Self-confident and personable with a professional demeanour. • Keen interest to be part of a dynamic and growing business. • A full UK driver’s licence with a clean driving record is also an asset.
