Story: Kim Crawford Wines was launched in 1996 and was one of New Zealand’s first ‘virtual wineries’, meaning that grapes were sourced from outside growers and the wine was made at other estates’ facilities. Taking this approach has not hindered Kim Crawford from achieving rapid critical acclaim and international recognition. He has been at the heart of a boom that has seen New Zealand wines become some of the most celebrated in the world.
