Story: Christian Seely, Director of Axa Milleisimes, and Nicholas Coates, a retired finance professional, joined forces in 2006 with the dream of making world-class sparkling wine in England. The scoured the country for the perfect patch of land - a south-facing chalk slope in Hampshire that was ideal for growing Champagne grape varieties. A state-of-the-art winemaking facility was built and it wasn't long before these two men were producing spectacular wines that put England on the winemaking map.

Tasting Notes: An alluring nose of rosewater and strawberries, and a palate that has crisp, vibrant acidity as well as a luxuriously fine mousse. This is one of England's finest sparkling wines.

Story: Nyetimber Estaste have shot to prominence as the UK’s finest producer of sparkling wine. They have won numerous awards both here and abroad since their first vintage in 1992, including 'Champion of Worldwide Sparkling Wines 2009' at the Bollicine del Mondo in Italy for their 2003 Classic Cuvée.

Located in West Sussex, the vineyard was established by an American couple (Stuart and Sandy Moss) who were attempting to produce sparkling wine of Champagne quality outside of France. After years of study they chose the site for its geological similarity to Champagne. The property is planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier and is now the largest and most prestigious wine estate in the UK.

Tasting Note: Pale gold in color, this predominately Chardonnay based Cuvee has plenty of fresh stone fruit intensity on the nose, with some soft spice notes for complexity. The palate is fresh and clean with sweet peach and roasted almond notes followed by a long balanced finish.

Food Pairing: A fine aperitif or serve with a soft English cheese.
